Terms of service
These terms apply when you use Contexxt. They are written in plain language and describe what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Who we are
Contexxt provides a tool for design system teams. It derives a machine-readable source of truth from your design system, serves it to AI coding tools, and checks that the code they produce follows it. For anything in these terms, write to hello@contexxt.app.
Your account
You need an account to use Contexxt. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for the activity in your workspace. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been used without permission. You must be able to enter a binding agreement to use the service, and you may not use it if the law where you are prohibits it.
Plans and billing
- Contexxt offers a Free plan and paid plans (Studio and Agency). Paid plans are priced per seat and can be billed monthly or yearly; yearly billing is offered at a discount.
- Paid plans do not include a free trial. When you subscribe, the first period is charged immediately and the plan starts right away.
- Fees are charged in advance for each billing period through our payment provider, Stripe. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable for periods already started.
- You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- We may change prices. If we do, we tell you in advance and the change takes effect at your next renewal.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or upload content you are not allowed to use;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other customers' data;
- resell or provide the service to third parties except as your plan allows (for example, an agency managing client systems);
- use the service to build a competing product by copying it.
Your content and data
You keep all rights to your design system, your repositories and your content. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you. Contexxt reads your repository to derive a specification; your source code is never stored. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
Availability
We work to keep Contexxt available and reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or occasionally take parts of the service offline for maintenance.
Our intellectual property
Contexxt, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us. These terms do not give you any rights to it beyond using the service as intended.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Contexxt and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. When the agreement ends, your right to use the service stops and we delete your workspace data as described in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Contexxt after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where Contexxt is established, and disputes are subject to the courts there, unless mandatory consumer law gives you other rights.
